UNITS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Responsible for assigned franchise market to grow revenue and enhance competitive position within market through development and implementation of sales initiatives and local sales programs. This position will be a “grassroots” type assignment with focus on driving new business and commercial opportunities. A true high activity outside sales representative with focus on growing revenue from un- tapped sources. Based throughout Southwest Florida, flexible location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive strategies to ensure revenue growth for a set target segment to include local commercial, relocation and associations
  • Develop new business to grow the individual and commercial customers while maximizing existing client base
  • Manage existing customer relationships to increase utilization and increase revenue by driving “net new” opportunities
  • Establish relationships with agents, brokers, remodeling companies and staging companies (and others) to develop contacts
  • Conduct presentations to educate consumers on our products, services and conduct needs analysis for utilizing company’s product to ultimately close deals
  • Focus sales strategy on specific business segments as directed, and based on the needs of the company
  • Understand and adapt to market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies
  • Keep updated on product and industry knowledge
  • Implement marketing action plans and sales initiatives to drive more sales
  • Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly internal and external reports for tracking leads and sales
  • Provide regular activity reports to the Franchise owner
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, as well as attending trade shows and “after hours” networking events

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Completed University or College Degree (Business focus preferred)
  • 5-8 years demonstrated and verifiable success developing/generating new business
  • Adeptness and prior demonstrated success in cold calling and closing sales
  • Ability to drive and possess a current/valid driver license issued by the state you work in
  • Possess math and computer skills sufficient to perform required duties
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit at a desk and use a computer for up to 8 hours a day; Ability to use hands and fingers to type on a keyboard and use a mouse to navigate; Vision sufficient to view small details on a computer monitor

  • Ability to stand and walk up to 8 hours a day; ability to stoop, bend and lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to hear and verbally communicate using a telephone handset and/or connected headset device

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Regular business hours. Some additional hours may be required.
  • Travel requirements: Approximately 60 % of time, Within Location Territory
  • Climate-controlled office environment during normal business hours. May be subjected to inclement seasonal weather conditions if position calls for working in a storage center or factory environment, or traveling to/from various locations
  • May be subject to pre-employment criminal background check and/or drug screening as well as random drug screenings in accordance with company policy

PAY STRUCTURE:

Based salary, + bonus, + car allowance, + commission.

50k-90k

TIERED COMMISSIONS SCHEDULE on monthly rental:

  • Containers 1-14 10%
  • Containers 15-30 15%
  • Containers 30+ 20%
  • Ancillary sales 15%

Bonus:

95% of monthly goal in container sales = 3% of monthly salary

100% of monthly goal = 15% of monthly salary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
